AI Stocks, Wearables, and Future Tech

Dear Friend,

At our AI Smart Labs session on May 28, our main content tool stopped working. We did not get a warning or a time for when it would be back. Our team quickly switched to Claude and kept working. The lesson is simple: do not rely on just one AI tool. If you only use one, a single crash can stop your whole business. You need a backup plan to keep things running. Is your business ready if your favorite tool fails?

The biggest AI companies are now getting more money and users. Businesses without an AI plan are falling behind. This gap will soon be very easy to see. If you need help building your AI strategy, we are here for you. Just send an email to [email protected].

Here are the top stories from this week and why they matter to you…

This Week’s Stories

Why Teams Quit Using AI After Six Weeks

Data shows that 58% of small teams abandon new AI tools around week six because initial excitement fades before any real productivity payoff is achieved. To prevent this “quiet quit,” owner-operators must intervene during week five with hands-on, paired-work sessions to help users secure a concrete “first-save” milestone, which increases six-month tool retention to 72% and avoids costly future re-rollout efforts.

Anthropic Prepares to Sell Stock to the Public for the First Time

Anthropic is getting ready for an IPO. This means people will soon be able to buy its stock on the market. The company is now worth nearly $1 trillion. It is making about $47 billion a year because so many businesses use its AI. This move puts Anthropic in the same group as SpaceX and OpenAI, which are also looking to go public soon.

My Take: Going public means we will finally see how much these companies spend and earn. This will show us which AI tools are stable and which ones are just hype. Watch these reports to pick the best tools for your company. If you aren’t using AI yet, your rivals are already gaining an edge. It is time to start.

New AI Tool Beats Government Weather Forecasts

A startup called WindBorne Systems just released a new AI weather model. They say it is more accurate than the world’s best government systems. It gives updates every hour, while older systems only update every six hours. This AI can predict weather five days ahead as well as a human could for tomorrow. The company already works with the Air Force and NOAA.

My Take: AI is already better at predicting weather than the government. If your business depends on the weather, you need this fast data. Using old, slow reports puts you at a disadvantage.

Microsoft Is Creating One Simple App for All Its AI Tools

Microsoft is building a “super app” to combine its different AI tools into one place. This will include GitHub Copilot, chat, and a new task helper. The goal is to make AI easier to use. Right now, only a small number of Microsoft users pay for these features. Microsoft hopes to launch the new app by the end of the summer.

My Take: Microsoft spent billions on AI, but most customers aren’t using it yet. This new app aims to fix that. For your business, this means your tools will soon be easier to manage. You won’t have to switch between different apps to get work done. And we understand there is one big elephant in Microsoft’s Copilot, people don’t like the results. It sounds like an engineer, not a friend or helpful colleague. The Copilot personality leaves a lot to be desired so most humans prefer to use Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT.

Meta Is Making an AI Pendant You Can Wear

Meta is working on an AI device you wear around your neck. It will record chats and create summaries of your day. Meta also wants to sell these tools to businesses. They hope to sell millions of wearable devices by the end of the year. Meta already sells many smart glasses, which gives them a head start.

My Take: Other AI pins have failed, but Meta has a better chance. They already have the brand and the users. A device that takes notes for you at work is very useful. People will worry about privacy, but business owners may want the extra productivity, many are already using Plaud and the like.

MIT Launches a New Lab for Future AI Tech

MIT announced a new lab to study AI and quantum computing. This $25 million project aims to make AI faster and smarter. It brings together experts from schools and tech firms to build better computer systems.

My Take: Today’s computers are reaching their limits. This lab is working on what comes next. Keep your current tools simple for now, because the tech will change a lot in the next few years.
